| So I'm Matthew Cook, and I'm a photographer. Though I'm a writer too, occasionally. I live in North London which is quiet and has great surroundings for photography. I mean part of Batman Begins was filmed here. The big building in it which I think is a mental institute, is like right next to my house! Anyway! My interest in photography was sparked a while back after reading an article on Lara Jade. The fact that she was a mere 4 years older than me made me realise what you can do if you put your mind to it. So I started borrowing my father's Canon 20D to do bits and pieces. He started getting a little annoyed at having to share the camera he had paid a great deal of money for with me. Yet he could also see my potential. That christmas I recieved a Canon 20D which is such an inspiring piece of equipment. In fact, I still use it to this day. I'm currently doing a GCSE in photography in which I hope to achieve an A*, and I think I'm on the road to it. That brings me to why I'm here, typing what seems like my photographic life-story. Short and simple: I want people to see my work, and I want to see theirs to know what makes a good photograph. So I can push myself that bit more to achieve something more. Hopefully with this huge community I can pursue the dream of becoming a reknowned photographer. Cheers for your wasted time! |
